Who We Are.

Our facility is nestled in the Atwater Village Equestrian Historic District; one of the last remaining equestrian communities in Los Angeles. We sit proudly on 20-acres of land making us one of the biggest equestrian centers in this Historic District. In our close-knit equestrian community, our neighboring facilities include the Saddle & Sirloin Riding Club,  Taking The Reins and the LAPD Mounted Police Unit.

• Situated just across the Los Angeles River from Griffith Park, our oasis has access to nearly 60 miles of equestrian trails within minutes.

Since its existence, The Paddock Riding Club has only had 3 owners. All Families. For the past 15 years, Alex and Nadine Chaves, who reside on the property in the original Adobe house that was built on the property in 1930 take pride in making the facility a home away from home for all. Upon first discovering The Paddock Riding Club after being a member at The Saddle & Sirloin Riding Club for years, Alex Chaves was drawn to The Paddock Riding Club when one of his granddaughters took an interest in Dressage. Since then, the family has treated The Paddock Riding Club and its members as an extension of their family. The Chaves family has and have dedicated the last 15 years to upholding the community that has made the Atwater Village Equestrian Historic District and The Paddock Riding Club such a safe haven for most amidst the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
